LIFE GROUPS
Sunday mornings aren't always the ideal setting for getting to know people on a meaningful level. A great way to build relationships and grow in your faith is through New Day Life Groups. We’ve got a number of new groups forming this fall. Below is at least a partial list of places you can connect. To find out more about any of the groups, simply send an email to the link below.
Redners' Group
Format:
We meet twice a month, typically on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings, to share food, fun and friendship. After dinner, the adults read the Gospels and talk while the children play together.
Kinds' Group
Format:
We will be viewing and discussing the first six videos from Focus on the Family's Truth Project Series. These powerful videos are sure to instill in you a wonderful sense of God's majesty and will better equip you with a sound Biblical World-view. 7:00-8:30 PM on 1st and 3rd Fridays. Children welcome.
Palms' Group
Format:
We are starting a marriage small group on the movie Fireproof. We will watch the movie together and then work through the Fireproof Your Marriage curriculum together. The Fireproof curriculum is founded on Biblical principles for strong, God-centered, marriages, with an easy format that integrates key Scriptures, group discussion and individual and couple's devotions. We expect it to be an amazing adventure. It will begin on Wednesday September 9th @ 7pm. Childcare available.
Churchills' Group #1
Format:
Bible study and fellowship. We’ll be studying II Peter chapter one using a very helpful book by Mark Buchanan: Hidden in Plain Site. We have copies for $5.00. Every other Wednesday starting on October 7th. 7:00-8:15. Sorry no kids- not enough room.
Churchills' Group #2
Format:
Bible study and fellowship. We’ll be studying the character of God. We’ll use a very practical book by Mark Buchanan: The Holy Wild. We have copies for $11.00. Every other Wednesday starting on October 14th. 7:00-8:15. Sorry no kids- not enough room.
Haakes' Group #1
Format:
We are interested in offering an Alpha Course. We’ll meet weekly, beginning Oct. 7th. The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. We will share a meal together and a series of talks beginning with "Christianity: Boring, Untrue, and Irrelevant?” Location TBD
Haake Group #2
Format:
Women’s Bible study and fellowship. Monday nights 7-9. Location TBA. No kids.
Bedell Women's Group
Format:
Young mom’s Bible study fellowship. Details TBA
Hall Women's Group
Format:
North Tacoma young mom’s group meeting on Thursday mornings, using Beth Moore's study of Esther.
Wittenberg & Zellerhoff Group
Format:
Task group. HANDS ON! is a small group that will strive to identify very specific needs, target individuals and organizations and co-ordinate practical solutions. We will brainstorm ideas, connect people to services or facilitate the 'hands on' answer to the need. We will pray and we will work so roll up your sleeves!
Clums' Group
Format:
Bible-study and fellowship. We will be studying exciting the Book of John. Weekly on Fridays from 6:30-8:30.
Confident Kids Group
Format:
Confident Kids Support Group. This is a group for elementary age kids and their parents who are dealing with stress in their lives: A move, a divorce, death in the family, or some other major change. This 8 week unit will focus on how to handle feelings in healthy ways. A parents group takes place at the same time as the kids group so whole families work through the same concepts. Registration for this group will begin in September.
